Bonnier
(Bouvet Rames Guyanne 2009) became the
first person (to our knowledge) to row solo across the Baffin Bay. He
started from Qaanaaq, north of Greenland on July 16th and arrived in
Lancaster on July 28th 2010. Now he is proceeding with his expedition
and is
rowing solo along the North-West Passage ( 6500 km ), that links the
Atlantic and the Pacific oceans, north of Canada and Alaska. Rescued on September 5th 2010 |

and after 54 days at sea put his feet back on NZ soil, having
rowed solo from Australia to New
Zealand - the first ever solo
crossing of the Tasman in this direction, other than his father, Colin Quincey, who made
history in 1977 by completing the first ever and only since successful
solo Tasman crossing from New Zealand to Australia. |
