On May 7, 2006, Victor Mooney began his Solo trans - Atlantic Row from Goree Island, Senegal to The Brooklyn Bridge, New York. His boat sprang a leak after he left Goree Island and in three hours he was rescued by the Senegalese navy after treading water for nearly half an hour |
