FEB, 26--READ NEWS ARTICLE FROM BAHAMAS BY LEE BENSON OF DESERET NEWS |
February 17th London |
Yesterday, Richard
Jones on board Brother of Jared telephoned me on his Satellite phone, he
said "I am very scared right now, I have seen 16 ships today and I am close to land without a rudder" he asked me if Russian rower Slava was still planning to leave for his Atlantic row next in March, I told him "yes" Richard said "having this satellite phone has made this trip possible for me, tell Slava I know he has budget problems so I will loan him my Satellite phone for his trip, he really should have a satellite phone". I thanked him for this most generous offer and wished him luck for the last leg of his trip which will be the most difficult part of his journey, because he must pass several Islands safely before reaching Florida. |
