Hi Tori,
Hope you had a great fourth of July! We are thinking of you and keep
up the good work. Your process is great and your getting closer to your
goal. Hope the weather has been good and the sea has been calm. May
God guide and lead you daily to France. Your constantly in our
thoughts and prayers. Houston has been hot with rain and the temperature is in
the low 90's instead of the high 90's. Hope your phone works soon so
we can know how things are going out there. I enjoy hearing from you and
what's Victoria doing? Until later, keep up the good work.

Dear Tori,
Every now and then, a modern day *explorer* begins an awesome journey.
You have done the same. I commend you on your courage and
determination. It is truly a rare occasion to find someone who not only
refuses to run with the pack, or to settle for soaring in eagle
space......but one with the vision to go beyond what other's consider
possible. You are a true example of how far we can take our God given
potential when we set our mind to it!! God's speed Tori, I'll be
checking your progress daily and eagerly anticipating your safe arrival
in Brest, France. Congratulations!! You give us all encouragement to
realize everything is possible!!
Sincerely,

Is there no way that we nail biters out here across this country can
get more news about what is happening to Tori Murden? We understand about her telephone
problems but it would be great if we could get a little more information about this
very special woman.

From ORS-- We do get regular coded messages from Tori that just say ALL OK... We share your frustration at lack of communication. Hopefully her satellite phone starts working again...

Would it be possible for you to place an "ideal path" from U.S. to France on
the close-up/daily map? In other words it would allow us to see if she was
above or below her ideal path. It would be a great learning experience for
my children to learn about the difference of rowing a boat in an ocean
(waves & wind) vs. riding a bike on a sidewalk.
Thanks for your consideration. Good Luck to Tori!!

Hi Tori,
Great reading your questbook knowing how people think about your trip.
Even though your s-cell phone isn't working, it's great looking at your
progress on the maps and you are getting closer every day. Good job
increasing the nautical miles and you must have gigantic muscles
(kidding.) I hope the waves aren't high and I think of that a lot.
We'll be celebrating 4th of July this Sat. and wish we could send some
fireworks your way but I bet the stars are just as beautiful. We'll be
thinking and praying for you every day. Keep up the good work and =
watch
out for those large boats. It's nice that they stop and chat with you
and rely msgs. to us. Have a great day and keep rowing!

Hi Girls!
Hi Little Ms. extreme! Just wanted to wish you a Happy July 4th. The
Irony of it all - Tori representing herself and her country on a
whirlwind tour across the Atlantic, Our President in a whirlwind tour of
China, Jiang in China watching, and (hopefully), the three of us
covering the world via electronics. It's like we're right down the hall
from each other again - Which of itself was like being in different
'worlds'. I continue to pray for each of you especially Tori. Lady
you're at the big dance now doing what man searches alot of his later
years on - finding a corner of the world where words like Solitude,
God's Majesty, Awesome, Peace, no telephones( oops! My fault - thinking
aloud again ! ! ). Watch your hydration level and sheild yourself from
the sun because saltwater tears up skin. A good lightning rod wouldn't
be bad either (since the horizon is 12 miles in all directions with the
boat being the highest point). We at LDA are excited you are 'in the
groove' now. Charlie Raith passed by my office and also told me to say
hello for him!
The first reason for this timely E-mail is that I'm sure you want to
surpass 1000 miles by the end of fourth of July weekend. I wish you
well. Secondly, I wanted the two of you (Tori & Jiang), to E-Mail each
other periodically [told ya' I think globally!]. You all can talk that
E=mc 2 stuff.
As always, I'm a man of my word when I said I would write. Now we can do
a
three way...Again , Take Care till the next E-mail
Love,
-Darnell
