As a member of your Leadership Kentucky class, I am rooting for you.
I spoke with Louis Prichard the other day and he wishes you the best.
You'll have to give the whole class a report on your trip when you
successfully complete it and return home. Good Luck and Godspeed!!!

I've been watching your progress since you left North Carolina. Every
day I check in. At night I try to imagine what it must be like to be
out there on the ocean and what kind of strong person you must be to be able
to endure that solitude. I hope that if you do get lonely you'll know that
lots of us are thinking of you and sending you good luck at all odd hours of
the day and night. Now that you are nearing the half way point in your
trip, it's beginning to really sink in for ME what a long way you have gone.
I understand that you've now left the Gulf Stream and that the going is
slower. And you must be tired by now.
I'm learning some kinds of lessons from your trip. I'm not sure what
they are yet. I wonder all the time why you are doing this, what you
expect to get from it. I have some guesses. I hope you will write
about this when you get back.
I hope you are getting these messages while you're rowing. As you look out
at the sky I hope you see stars tonight. I hope you are warm and dry and
healthy. Good luck, Tori.

I may never say it again.
I think of you every day and hope and pray you're safe and rowing your
way toward France.
Hope you're mentally planning the book you will write. Will be happy to
help that process in any way I can.
I'm seeing Helen Longly later this week--will pass along news from your web
site when I see her. Cathy Sutton

Hello Tori,
Our prayers are with you for a safe and speedy trip. Remember No
Limits!
Just take this time to reflect on the awesome world our Father created. And
His glorious Love for all of us, by sending his only Son Jesus Christ, to
save us from our sins. I think you are a very brave woman, and I thank you
for your example to all of the women, at our age, who might be ready to
undertake a task we think is too difficult, because of age. Take care,
In His Love,
Connie Howard

Keep it up Tori! I visited your website and I am impressed with the
number of people thinking about you out there in the "Big, Beautiful
Atlantic". I was first interested in your quest when you departed from
Oregon Inlet, a place I have been many times as I am from Charlotte, = NC.
You are a brave soul, especially when you have capsized twice. Fortunately,
el nino has kept our hurricanes quiet this year. Keep us all posted. You
have many fans and are interested in your progress. Best of luck to you!

Dear Tori,
My name is Kaitee. I am six years old. I think what your are doing is
great! I am a dancer and a speed skater. At my age right now and growing up
soon, I would never be able to do this because I would be scared. You must
be very brave. Good Luck and I hope you have a fun time. I will keep
checking to see how you are doing. My mom and dad think you are great too.

Dearest Tori,
While the rest of us couch potatoes sit about thinking "if only" and "I
wish" you are DOING it...... and if anything will inspire me to believe I
can meet a challenge, make a dream come true, it is women like you who take
life by the throat, shake it, and see what falls out. Wow, what an
adjustment civilization is going to be for you when hit land..... take
your time. I know you will be happy beyond belief, but indoubtedly you will
feel odd as well, to see the noise, the traffic, the lights, after being
alone with yourself for so long. This is YOUR time.... don't let anyone or
anything get in your way. Godspeed, Tori. Blue skies!

Hi
I wish there was more news coverage on Tori' rowing experience in my
area--Chicagoland area.
I've been sending e-mails to the local radio station WGN--Spike O'Dell
(late afternoon show) and Johnnie Putman (female) & Steve King (her
husband) after midnight shows. Haven't heard anything yet. Today I
sent them the address for the press releases you had on the internet.
Hope to get them to start following her progress. Would have loved to
have heard Ken Crutchlow's interview.
Tina

that you must continue to live your life through your adventures. I
know that you can make it! I will continue to pray for you and "check
in" from time to time. Live and row well. :-)

Subject: Tori (I am just blown away)
Heard about this on Ken Hamblin. I am amazed. This sport needs someone like
Ken Burns to do a documentary. I pray for Tori's safe arrival in France.
People like Tori help me get through my mundane 9 to 5 job. I have been
discussing her with all my friends and telling them about the Web Sight. I
will buy Sector Sport Watch. It is the least I can do. One question:
Is Tori able to somehow stabilize the boat when see sleeps or is she
at the mercy of the currents and could possibly lose ground and get off
course?
Good luck, I hope to see you soon in a joyful triumphant interview.
Mikel
